Garrett Fox (@GHASF) and (rob) Smith (@SmithWorldWide) were tired of corny Christian and inspiration clothing so the two joined forces to launch Lamb’s Wool Clothier (@Lambs_Wool), a brand that allows consumers to ‘Wear what they believe in’ while remaining fashionable and fly at the same time. The brand launched in 2011, piercing a somewhat standard market, aiming to bring some edge back to Christian slogan wear by adding a hint of colloquialism, sass, and a 21st century perspective to what it means to be a Believer. Gone are the days of “Too Blessed to Be Stressed” tees. Lamb’s Wool would rather encourage you to “Shut Up & Pray“

This week, the brand launched an ad campaign to create awareness of their Monday World Premier release of their latest effort, a music promo video.  Hitting the web on Monday at 12noon, the video for  ’Draped Up‘ a catchy rap, performed and written by Christian Rapper-on-the-rise, Steven Malcolm (@116Malcolm ).  Brendon Coe (@BCoeProductions ) was responsible for producing the hot track while videographer Stephan Terry (facebook.com/sdterry1) took to the helm of the camera to capture some high def shots.  Actress Jenelle Flowers (@1JennyMarie ) helped tell the story while Choreographer Mark Evans (facebook.com/MarkEvans616) created some dances moves that everyone can learn and enjoy. The video also features owners, Garrett Fox as well as Smith, who acted as Creative Director and editor for the mini-film.

The scene is the fictitious Lambsville, MI, USA, a place where all things are well when you wear Lamb’s Wool, the story details the morning of sleepy young man who doesn’t want to get up for school, but things change once he get’s dressed in his Lamb’s Wool, which, in this video, is synonymous for ‘putting on Christ.’

The brand, only a few months old, has already started making waves, with customers as far as California, Puerto Rico, and Korea, and an array of local Fashion driven patrons who are now rocking the brand.

Currently the brand offers four tees: The debut tee: Stop Lyin on My Savior, The Christ Couture Collection 2012 tee, The Lambs Wool Logo Only tee, Shut Up & Pray tee, and the See. Dream. Be. tee featuring a large eye. Tees are available in an array of colors and print color options, womens cut, unisex cut, and vee necks for both men and women.  Polo style shirts are also available.  The option to have your own items branded with their insignia is also available.  In the future the brand plans to expand their reach with a higher end line called, Christ Couture Collection.  Also available are custom photo bracelets (seen below) that can be ordered HERE.

One recent campaign was the Greek Edition of the Christ Couture tee, which featured the nostalgic colors of Black Greek organizations.

Its the most wonderful time of the fashion year: The Costume MET Ball held in NYC.  The famous towering steps become a coveted red carpet, filled with celebrities who come out to support the museum, that focuses on art, but also to show the world how bold they are, even if just for the night, as they rock some edgy gowns and tux combinations. This year was not a let down.

Black seemed to be the color of choice as many stars from Beyonce, to Rihanna, Janelle Monae, Jay Z, Kanye West, and Bruno Mars, all wore black. Check out the pics below to see what everyone showed up in. One day I want to make it to MET for this fantastic fashionable fete.

Its one of my favorite fashion events of the year, The Costume MET Ball, where the stars come out and become fearless for the night, donning themselves in radical gowns and tuxes to walk the famous tower of stairs for an evening set to earn money for the museum.

Beyonce came, sans baby Blue, and rocked the MET gala, just as she has done for the last three years.

This year the new mom donned a Givenchy gown that left little to the imagination. The sheer haute couture gown featured black sequins and beading, as well as purple and black feathers on the floor-length hemline–accentuating  her post-baby bod.

Yours truly, Mr. Kanye West, went on one of his infamous Twitter rants recently. This time, the super rapper vented about some things he hates in fashion; things he seen while driving around town. He makes his list of no-no’s very clear.  The Divo debuted his fashion line at the Paris Fashion show last year, to much criticism; however, he still feels the need to share with us his current dislikes.

I do admit, Kanye is fly when it comes to fashion so he may be on to something. What do ya think? Here’s his current list with the expletives edited.

A month or so ago we heard about raptress Nicki Minaj landing a ridiculous contract with top soda-maker, Pepsi, landing her a coveted spot as a spokes model for the international brand. Well, the commercial, partially shot in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a part of the brands, ‘Live For Now‘ marketing campaign and is set to Minaj’s 2010 hit, ‘Moment For Life‘–a perfect marriage between the two.

Rumor has it that the beautiful Ms. Kenya Moore is set to take up residency as the most recent add on to the next season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 5, which is already in production. Now that Sheree Whitfield wont be returning to the show, rumor has it, the producers want to fill that gap with another interesting Beauty and Kenya is in contracts to take that role.

The 1993 Miss USA has had some former screen time, portraying roles in films such as Waiting To Exhale, Deliver Us From Eva and the 2007 Lindsay Lohan thriller I Know Who Killed Me.

The 41-year-old stunner is said to be looking for property now in Atlanta. I guess we’ll see how this unfolds.

Marvel fans showed up and showed out last weekend, breaking movie records, and showing the world that there is a gold mine in comic book movies. Fans of Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man filled movie theaters across the U.S. to the tune of $200.3M for The Avenger’s debut weekend. Thats more than the weekend total for the cult fiction tale, Harry Potter, which made $169.2M last year for its final tale.

For a worldwide total, The Avenger’s grossed a whopping $641.8M. All I need is one of those millions to pay off a few bills here and there and I’ll be good. Im just sayin!

It’s been a very long time since we’ve heard much from Omarion, the one-time member of famed boy band, B2K.  The singer/dancer/actor had seemingly fallen off the map, until recently that is.

Just yesterday the music team held a press conference where the Maybach Music Group announced its affiliates album dates. The team also chose this time to introduce Omarion as a Maybach family member as well. The dancing gent is now signed to Ross and crew and will go by the moniker Maybach O, as an inside family ‘nick -name.’

Omarion revealed he will drop a new EP later this year and previewed his new record, with Ross, titled, ‘Let’s Talk.‘

Here’s what he had to say during the press conference:

“A lot of people have been wondering what’s up with Omarion?,” he said. “Is his career over? I’ve never been a fan of popular opinion, but from now on, when you see me, understand that it’s Maybach Music.”

Veteran singers, Brandy and Monica look amazing as they cover the May 2012 Ebony Magazine Music Edition.  The vocalist have been getting mad press as of late, of the tidal wave of their first duet after 14 years, It belongs To Me.

The one-time enemies turned genuine friends have made their rounds to all the press junkets and outlets; now landing on Ebony’s music issue where they discuss working together, their individual singing styles, and an array of other interesting topics.
