Rap mogul Shawn Jay-Z Carter has probably been cheesing hard for the last couple of days; overjoyed that his Roc-A-Princess, Blue Ivy Carter, who came into the world to such controversy, is finally here. In fact, the proud pop proved his pleasure by hitting the studio and recording a story-laden rap about the most popular infant on the planet right now. The couple also released a statement to US Weekly regarding their bundle of joy, quelling rumors the baby was born via c-section.
“Hello Hello Baby Blue!” the note from Beyonce, 30, and Jay-Z, 42, begins.
“We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven.”
“She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”
In the song, Jay-Z indicated Blue Ivy was conceived in Paris (while Beyonce was there to shoot her video packaging for her album, 4). He also raps love lyrics like, “You’re a child of destiny/You’re the child of my destiny/You’re my child with the child from Destiny’s Child/” He also alludes to the fact that Beyonce may have had a miscarriage before. The song wraps with the first cries of the child, hence the track labeled as featuring B.I.C. (Blue Ivy Carter).
You can’t hate on a man that wants to love on his child. Check the track out below and let me know your thoughts.
