Joel Osteen on Oprah Winfrey’s ‘Next Chapter’ – Receives Best Ratings Ever

Finally!  Finally! Finally!

Oprah’s new network, OWN!, has notoriously encountered some lackluster ratings, even to the point the media magnate had to fire the company’s president and take on the helm herself.  OWN! didn’t have the success Oprah and her nation of fan’s had hoped for.

Thankfully, Oprah’s team booked Mega Pastor, Joel Osteen, as guest on Oprah’s ‘Next Chapter.’ The Osteen episode garnered 1.6M viewers–the most viewers of any programming ever offered by OWN!.

Oprah interviewed Osteen in his plush Houston pad in the episode that appeared Sunday on ‘Next Chapter.’ Oprah questioned Osteen about the frequent criticism he receives for talking frequently about prosperity.  He provided some great responses for his critics.

“There’s a belief that you’re supposed to be poor, and suffering, and show your humility. I just don’t see the Bible that way,” the megachurch Pastor said. “I see that God came and Jesus died so that we might live an abundant life and be a blessing to others.”
