MUSIC::Janet Jackson Makes A Video Announcement For Her 2011 ‘Number One’s’ World Tour

For starters, can I say, I feel disrespected.  Larry King just asked Janet’s butt a couple of weeks ago if she was going to be touring and she looked him square in the eye and said, ‘no.’  Two weeks later (much to my delight I admit) she breaks the news that she is doing this world tour.  Janet…….smh.

“Many of asked, ‘When will I tour again?’ Well, today I’m really excited to answer that question and to announce my largest ever world tour, celebrating 35 #1’s,” Janet told fans during a press conference announcing the tour.  The girl is bad!  35 #1’s–who does that?!

Great thing about the tour is Janet is allowing the fans to pick the 35 cities (one for each #1).  She wants to do small venue’s for a more intimate feel as opposed to the large arena’s.  A list of cities is available for voting at  Among the cities eligible for voting are New York, Los Angeles, Miami in the States, and even Hong Kong, Singapore, and Milan, Italy overseas. Voting starts November 19th.

Her upcoming world tour is Janet’s first since 2008’s “Rock Witchu” Tour, which featured Janet performing songs from her latest album “Discipline.”
